About Us
McCully View Tree Farm is owned by Roland Garrison and Vivian Gowan. Both Roland & Vivian have a respect for nature, enjoy the outdoors, and are committed to the concept that forests are healthier when correctly managed, rather than when they are left unmanaged. Invasive species, disease of trees, and limitations of natural processes result in decimation of native species, overgrown areas, and fire hazards.

5 year anniversary!
We purchased the tree farm in 2005, and now we are celebrating our 5th year anniversary. In this time we cleared and thinned quite a bit, and the trees are starting to liik much better. We cleared a lot of windfalls and brush, and this year we expect to continue that work.
The first year was spend developing the stewardship plan, deciding where to start on cleanup, and getting organized. The first section we thinned is now three years in development, and the trees are starting to show the work. Almost 60 acres have been cleaned up to date, and we are planning more.
Some areas we are leaving untouched, both for the forest and wildlife. A few thickets here and there will provide habitat for animals. The areas near the creek we will leave undisturbed as possible, with the exception of an area that was apparently used as a dump at some time in the past; we will be cleaning that up in as non-invasive a manner as possible.
